Premier League Preview

Everton like to upset Chelsea

Liverpool v Man Utd is the game of the weekend. But Man City and Spurs also face tough tests against unbeaten opponents.

Liverpool v Man Utd:

A feisty affair - there have been four red cards in the last four Anfield league meetings between these two. WilliamHill offer 12/5 on another dismissal on Saturday lunchtime. Bluesquare go 10/1 on both sides getting reduced to 10 men.

Man City V Aston Villa:

Mario Balotelli bagged a hat-trick in this fixture last season and he is 25/1 (Bet365) to repeat the feat. Villa remain unbeaten, a sixth draw from eight league games is 22/5 with VictorChandler.

Norwich v Swansea City:

When these two met in the Championship last term both sides won their respective home matches. The Canaries are 10/1 with WilliamHill to repeat their 2-0 win at Carrow Road. The Swans have won eight in a row when Scott Sinclair has scored; he is 12/5 with PaddyPower to find the net here.

QPR v Blackburn:

Neil Warnock’s side are 10/11 with Coral to record their first home win of the season. Steve Kean’s strugglers are 18/5 (VictorChandler) to win away from Ewood Park for the first time this campaign. The Rovers boss is 5/4 favourite (PaddyPower) to be next manager out of a job.

Stoke v Fulham:

Fulham won both the home and away league fixtures between these sides 2-0 last season - the same scoreline again is 20/1 with StanJames. Andy Johnson has scored five times in his last two outings for the Cottagers; he is 3/1 (Bet365) to find the net again on Saturday.

Wigan v Bolton:

Both league games ended 1-1 in 2010-11 and that result is a 6/1 shot with WilliamHill. The Latics are 7/5 to win with the same firm, to end a run of four straight defeats. It’s even worse for the visitors who are 9/4 with SkyBet, having lost six on the spin.

Chelsea v Everton:

The draw is 4/1 with SkyBet - decent odds when you consider that Everton have claimed a share of the spoils in their last five visits to Stamford Bridge. The Toffees also knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup last season, and are 10/1 (Totesport) to inflict a first home defeat on Andre Villas-Boas.

West Brom v Wolves:

The Baggies are fast starters having scored four of their five league goals in the first five minutes; another WBA strike within the first 15 minutes is a 7/2 shot with WilliamHill. Wolves have lost four in a row; they find themselves 3/1 with Bet365 to return to winning ways.

Arsenal v Sunderland:

Arsenal have only won once in their last six attempts against the Black Cats. Most of those game have ended as draws and Steve Bruce would surely welcome another at 7/2 with Ladbrokes. A repeat of March’s 0-0 at the Emirates is 14/1 with Sportingbet.

Newcastle v Tottenham:

You can get 250/1 with SkyBet on this one ending 4-4 - the scoreline when the sides met on the same date in 1954. Demba Ba is 12/5 to add to his four Newcastle goals in two games, while Spurs are 6/4 (Boylesports) to end a winless run of five league matches at St James’ Park.
