Next Man Utd Manager Odds

Sir Alex Ferguson has announced that he will retire at the end of the season. David Moyes and Jose Mourinho are vying for favouritism in the next manager market.

Following the announcement that Sir Alex Ferguson will step down at the end of the season, the betting markets are trying to predict his successor.

Jose Mourinho is currently the 11/8 (Bet365) favourite to be the next Manchester United manager. His apparent availability, his Champions League record and a good relationship with Ferguson are all in his favour. But where does that leave his mooted return to Chelsea?

David Moyes is also quoted at 6/4 with Betfred. A wealth of Premier League experience makes him one of the most respected managers in the game but his lack of Champions League experience might count against him.

Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is third favourite at 16/1 (Bet365) but it is a big price for anyone else.

Ole Solskjaer is quoted at 33/1 (Paddy Power) amongst a whole host of ex-United players. Ryan Giggs, although still playing, is available at 50/1 (Betfred) as is Laurent Blanc (50/1), while Mark Hughes and Steve Bruce (both 80/1) are real outsiders.
