Next Coventry Boss: Latest Odds

Aidy Boothroyd is the latest managerial casualty in the Championship. There are already several names in contention for the Coventry hot seat.

Coventry have sacked Aidy Boothroyd after ten months at the helm and a run of just one win in 16 league matches. The two men put in temporary charge of the team have been immediately installed among the early favourites to become the next permanent manager. Chief scout Andy Thorn is 5/1 with PaddyPower while first team coach Steve Harrison is 7/1 with VictorChandler.

Other names in the frame are Roberto Di Matteo, also at a best price of 7/1, having been recently sacked by Premiership West Brom. Club captain Lee Carsley is 10/1 with Skybet to step into the breach.

The Sky Blues have plummeted down the Championship table to 19th, having sat as high as fifth, as recently as December. The 0-1 home defeat to Hull on Saturday was the final straw, leaving Coventry looking for their 10th manager in 10 years.
