The entire landscape of English football changed overnight when Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement in midweek and his final home game in charge is bound to be a special occasion on Sunday.
There was always going to be a party at Old Trafford on Sunday as the Red Devils will officially receive the Premier League trophy after the match. However, Wednesday’s big announcement means that United will now be desperate to go out in real style and put on a performance for the departing boss.
That can surely only spell trouble for a Swansea City side who will really only be making up the numbers at the end of what has been a glorious season for them as well.
If the champions are in the mood, which they surely will be, I could see this being a bit of a thrashing. United are best odds of 6/1 to win by 4 goals or more and suddenly that looks in the script.
