The signing of Robin Van Persie is the most significant act of the whole summer in terms of the Premier League and the Red Devils have been cut by every firm accordingly. Shinji Kagawa also arrived for £17m from Dortmund as the former champions have flexed their muscles. In defence the return of Vidic is key.
Verdict:
If you only lose the league title with the last kick of the season then it should be fair to assume you don’t need wholesale changes. Yet Ferguson has made his biggest marquee purchase in years. It’s not obvious why RVP is behind Aguero and Rooney at 9/1 (Coral) to retain his top goalscorer status; it looks like a bargain.
