Man Utd 10/1 for Europa League
Both the Manchester giants lost on Thursday, but the bookies think the damage is worse for the red half of the city.
For anybody still thinking Manchester United will claim some European silverware this season, now is the time to take the bet. The Red Devils slumped to a shock 3-2 loss at the hands of Athletic Bilbao in the first leg at Old Trafford, meaning they have it all to do in Spain next week.
The English league champions are now 10/1 (Bet365) to win the Europa League; Bilbao are 6/1 (totesport), having been 20/1 prior to kick-off.
Manchester City also stumbled. although a 1-0 defeat away to Sporting Lisbon is seen as nothing more than a minor setback by the bookies. Mancini’ side are still 3/1 (Boylesports) favourites to lift the trophy. Atletico Madrid (5/1 SkyBet) and Valencia (6/1 BetVictor) add to the strong La Liga challenge.
