Henderson to Liverpool?

Liverpool are 11/8 to finish in the top four next season after agreeing a fee to sign Sunderland’s Jordan Henderson.

According to BBC Sport, Liverpool have agreed a fee in the region of £20million to sign Sunderland’s Jordan Henderson. After the capture of Andy Carroll in January, it continues the strategy of signing the best young British talent. Next on the hit list is Charlie Adam who is 1/2 to join this summer.

Since director of football Damien Comolli arrived from Tottenham, the club have settled on a similar transfer policy to the one that got Spurs into the top four. Paddy Power make Liverpool 11/8 to get a Champions League spot next season.

All this is bad news for Steve Bruce who faces the prospect of losing his brightest talent only six months after top goalscorer Darren Bent left the club. Sunderland are 10/1 to be relegated next season.
