The 4th best side in Spain can outwit the 7th best one in Germany for a second week in a row.
Villarreal won the first leg 2-0 and at a best price of 18/5 (Boylesports) I wouldn’t rule them out of completing a noteable double on Thursday night.
It’s no mean feat to be the fourth best team in Spanish football and that is something Marcelino’s boys can currently claim to be based on the league table. Having also scored in their last 12 European away outings, they are likely to kill the tie off here.
Leverkusen are languishing down in 7th in the Bundesliga and began March by losing 3-1 at Mainz before a 4-1 home thumping at the hands of Werder Bremen.
They aren’t the side who looked competitive in their Champions League group before Christmas but the bookies haven’t adjusted their prices accordingly.
