Tottenham v Bayer Leverkusen Tip: Leverkusen Win
Tottenham were fortunate to escape Germany with a draw and Hugo Loris can’t keep running a 83% save percentage. Throw in the Wembley conundrum and this is a dangerous game.
Group E is incredibly tight with all four teams capable of making the next round and just three points separating top and bottom.
In the last round of fixtures Tottenham escaped Leverkusen with a draw and have their goal keeper to thank. Leverkusen out-shot their opponents 16-6 with seven of their strikes on target but couldn’t find a way past Hugo Loris, a common thread this season. The French stopper is enjoying an 83% save percentage this season when par would be around 67%.
Tottenham can’t keep relying on their goalkeeper for points but offensively they looked blunted by the absence of Harry Kane. This gives Bayer Leverkusen an excellent opportunity to win their first Champions League match of the season, although they haven’t lost either with three draws.
Tottenham are without a win in five in all competitions and were beaten by Monaco in their last game at Wembley. An away win is the play with Bayer Leverkusen available at 15/8 in the draw no bet market with BetVictor.
