Romania v Greece: Second Leg Tip
He scored twice in the first leg and has 20 goals already this season from 19 appearances.
Greece head to Bucharest with a 3-1 lead to defend and you wouldn’t bet against Kostas Mitroglou putting the tie beyond doubt. The Olympiakos striker bagged a brace in Friday night’s first leg and was only denied a hat-trick by good goalkeeping. At best odds of 3/1 (Betfred) in the anytime goalscorer market, he looks like a steal.
A reported transfer target for Inter Milan and Liverpool, the 25-year-old has been enjoying a prolific spell for club and country. Mitroglou has found the net 14 times in just 10 league games for Olympiakos, adding a Champions League treble to his credentials against Anderlecht in October.
Remarkably that was one of four hat-tricks he has notched already in 2013-14. We don’t need him to do anything so spectacular on Tuesday night when a single goal would be likely to seal Greece’s place in the next World Cup finals.
