Pole Hopes For Homeland Twist

Robert Lewandowski has plied his trade in Germany for four seasons, but now he hopes to torment his club team-mates in Warsaw.

Saturday night is a big night for Robert Lewandowski as he lines up for his country against a host of his current Munich team-mates. At best odds of 13/5 (Boylesports), he looks a decent option in the anytime goalscorer market.

The 26-year-old is renowned as one of Europe’s top strikers for a reason and he will line-up in good spirits following his brace for Bayern against Hannover last weekend. The last time he trotted out for Poland, he scored four, another great fillip even if it was only against Gibraltar.

World champions Germany will obviously be a tough act to tame, but having conceded a goal and a fair few chances to Scotland, they aren’t invincible. They even let in four against Argentina in a friendly last month.

If they aren’t at their ruthless best here then Lewandowski can take full advantage.
