Not All About 'Lewy'
If Ireland's defenders put too much of their focus on Lewandowski then the new rising star of Polish football could take advantage.
Irish fans will head to the Aviva Stadium understandably wary of Poland’s talisman and now captain, Robert Lewandowski.
The Bayern Munich star is inevitably the favourite in the anytime goalscorer market (11/5) but his strike partner, Arkadiusz Milik, may actually be the better option at a best price of 14/5 (BetVictor).
Milik is the rising star of Adam Nawalka’s team. At the tender age of 21, he has already scored the crucial opening goal in the 2-0 victory over world champions Germany as well as adding further strikes against Scotland and Georgia in qualifying. In total he has 6 in 14 appearances for his country.
If that wasn’t enough, Milik has taken the Eredivisie by storm in 2014-15 as well. Ajax took the Leverkusen striker on loan and he was repaid them with 23 goals in 31 appearances so far.
With too much focus on Lewandowski, it’s this young gun who can punish Martin O’Neill’s team in Dublin.
