Hungary v Belgium: BTTS Tip
Nobody scored more goals than Hungary in the group stages and yet they continue to be written off even as an attacking force.
Having already highlighted the distinct lack of goals in Euro 2016, I’m happy to go the other way and back both teams to score in Hungary v Belgium, especially when 6/4 is available with WilliamHill.
Group F bucked a lot of trends and expectations, not least with Hungary and Iceland progressing in first and second positions respectively! The Magyars were also involved in arguably the game of the tournament so far when they drew 3-3 with Portugal.
It’s worth noting that they achieved that result while resting four players who had already acquired yellow cards.
That said, most will expect the improving Belgians to find the net against this surprise package, and they are probably right.
But the world’s second best team according to FIFA showed their defensive frailty against Italy. That shouldn’t have surprised us given their injuries at the back and their goals against record heading into the tournament.
They conceded (and scored) in all seven of their most recent games prior to Euro 2016, including to the likes of Andorra, Israel, Finland and Norway twice.
Hungary beat the Norwegians in the playoffs and are more than capable of causing one of the favourites trouble tonight.
