Football Tip: Liverpool v Braga
Braga look likely to qualify in a game where even losing by the odd goal should be good enough.
Liverpool need to turn round a 1-0 deficit in the Europa League tonight against Braga. Although they play the second leg at home I’m surprised to see Liverpool are odds on to qualify.
I’m making the same argument as last time I tipped Braga. Without Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, Liverpool are missing their two best players. Andy Carroll is likely to be on the bench again, leaving the team looking light upfront.
What really astounds me is that Braga are 11/10 to qualify. A win or draw will see the Portuguese side progress; plus pretty much any result where they lose by the odd goal is good enough. With so many options in their favour it is Braga who should be favourites.
