City Nearly Evens to Win Both Halves Against Rovers
Championship opponents look unlikely to contain Pellegrini's rampagers.
Blackburn have done remarkably well to take mighty Manchester City to a replay, but their FA Cup adventure is surely destined to end at Fortress Etihad.
With Pellegrini’s superstars nothing longer than an eye-watering 2/15 (BetVictor) to win in 90 minutes, the oddsmakers are attempting to shut up shop on the home win. After all, City have won 14 of their 15 fixtures on their own patch in 2013-14 with only European champions Bayern stemming the flow.
It’s therefore surprising that you can still get close to evens money (17/20 Coral) on City winning both halves on Wednesday night. Having scored 59 times in those 15 home outings, we have every reason to be confident.
However, if we did need a further boost, top scorer Sergio Aguero returns to the squad after a spell on the sidelines. Rovers should be quaking in their boots.
