Germany v Ukraine: Anytime Goalscorer Tip

Ukraine's inspiration has scored in each of his last three appearances while the Germans arrive looking vulnerable.

It’s a little hard to know what we’re going to get from Germany. On the one hand they still have many of the players who led them to World Cup glory in 2014, on the other hand they have lost seven times since then.

Being such an immense tournament team I wouldn’t be confident in backing an upset here but at 7/2 (Betfred) Andriy Yarmolenko is capable of scoring anytime for Ukraine and at least giving them a scare.

The Dynamo Kiev star has become increasingly vital for his national team over the last few years. A strike rate of 25 goals in 59 appearances (0.42) is decent for a player who often drifts in from the wing but that improves to 17 in 31 matches (0.55) since 2013.

The 26-year-old is now at his peak. He found the net in both legs of the playoff win over Slovenia and has now scored in each of his last three games for Ukraine - all against fellow finalists Wales, Romania and Albania.

At a pretty big price he can extend that sequence if the Germans don’t wake up quickly.
