Roma have made a mess of Group E and there could be worse to come.
With Barcelona streaking away in Group E it has been a mad scramble for the runners-up spot and one that quite frankly Roma have made a mess of.
BATE Borisov are one of the worst teams in the tournament and it is a sad indictment that a win in Rome could see them progress to the knock-out stages. The Belarusians shocked Roma in round two and they are a big price to cause an upset again.
Rudi Garcia’s team have been wide open at the back conceding 16 goals in five games but they haven’t been that unlucky. Shot data implies they could have expected to concede at least 12.5.
