Tottenham v CSKA Moscow Preview
Tottenham only need a draw to get into the Europa League and that makes it a more likely outcome than the bookmakers think.
Tottenham’s Champions League campaign was ruined at Wembley, losing at home to both Monaco and Leverkusen was painful but they can finish on a relative high against CSKA Moscow.
Spurs need to avoid defeat to parachute into the Europa League and although that might seem an unappealing prospect to some fans at least it salvages something from the wreckage.
CSKA Moscow are one of the weakest teams in the tournament but they’ve found some form in the Russian Premier League (unbeaten in 5) and can also rescue something from a miserable Champions League campaign.
Tottenham only need a draw to finish third in the group and if the scores are level with 15 minutes to go they might protect what they have.
