Time For City To Make Euro Statement

Man City arrive off the back of 5-0 and 4-1 Premier League wins while Barca slumped to a home defeat to Malaga in La Liga at the weekend.

Manchester City may finally be ready to make their mark on the knockout stages of the Champions League after warming up for Barcelona with a 5-0 demolition of Newcastle.

That followed an equally impressive 4-1 away success over Stoke. Those games demonstrated that the likes of Aguero, Nasri, Dzeko and Silva are hitting form at exactly the right time.

The Spanish giants had been on mesmeric form themselves but out of the blue they lost 1-0 at home to Malaga on Saturday night. The biggest concern for Luis Enrique will be that Barca hardly even looked like scoring on the night with Messi looking abject.

The four-time champions have actually lost four of their last nine away matches in the Champions League including 3-2 to PSG this season in the group stages.

City are fresher than when the sides met a year ago and can pull off a first leg victory at 12/5 with Paddy Power who will provide a consolation free bet, matching your stake, if it’s a draw on Tuesday night instead.

*Free Bet if it’s a Draw. Place a bet on Man City or Barcelona to win the match and if it ends as a draw, Paddy Power will give you a free bet to match your stake. Max free bet refund is £50. T&Cs apply.
