Ludicrous Not To Consider Ludogorets

The Bulgarians beat Basel and led Madrid here so a ragged Liverpool without Sturridge and Gerrard will hold no fears.

With the dismal form that Liverpool are on, it’s really not practical to back them at evens to win an away match in an intimidating atmosphere. Instead, Ludogorets are the obvious choice at 16/5 with Boylesports.

Not only are the Reds languishing in 12th in the top flight, they have also lost their last three in the Champions League. Admittedly, that’s not so bad when Madrid were the opponents twice, but Liverpool were far from convincing even at Anfield against the Bulgarians who they face tonight, winning only in injury time.

But Ludogorets deserve particular respect on their own turf. They beat Basel in Sofia last month and led against Real before that. Indeed, they were 1-1 with the defending champions until the 77th minute before Benzema ended the dream. But those performances, combined with a run of four straight home wins makes them undeniable value here.
