While Manchester City have surprised many with their scintillating form in the Premier League this season, early signs are that the Champions League may be a tougher nut to crack. On Tuesday evening, life should be even tougher for Mancini’s men; Bayern Munich have won their last nine matches, scoring 26 in that run without conceding a single goal.

A trip to the Allianz Arena has always proved to be a daunting task even for City’s illustrious neighbours. Man Utd have all the European experience you could hope for, yet they have failed to leave Bavaria with a win in four visits there. That doesn’t bode well for the Champions League newcomers.
