2012 Champions Hunt For Anfield Double

Swansea comfortably beat Liverpool en route to glory two years ago and they may actually be a better team now.

In October 2012 Swansea City headed to Anfield in the 4th round of the League Cup and dominated their hosts in a resounding 3-1 victory. A few months later the Welsh club were holding the trophy aloft at Wembley.

Two years on, Garry Monk’s boys look an excellent bet to repeat their triumph at best odds of 4/1 with William Hill. The 35-year-old is expected to field a pretty strong line-up while his counterpart Brendan Rodgers is more likely to ring the changes.

Arguably, it wouldn’t matter if both managers did field their strongest sides given that the Swans sit one place above the Reds in the league table. The visitors comprehensibly beat Everton 3-0 in the last round and will now look to complete a Merseyside double.
