England v West Indies ODI Series Preview

England say goodbye to their most talented batsman whilst the West Indies welcome theirs back.

On Saturday, England take on the West Indies in the first of three One Day Internationals; the hosts are 8/11 (William Hill) to win the series. Without their best limited-overs batsmen after Kevin Pietersen’s retirement, the pressure will be on Ian Bell and Ravi Bopara to fill the void. Ian Bell is 9/2 (Stan James) to be England’s leading run scorer in the series.

The West Indies are able to welcome back their most explosive batsman as Chris Gayle returns to the side. The former captain is 11/5 (Bet365) to be the leading run-scorer for his team.

With inclement weather dominating the British summer, a correct score forecast could be scuppered by an abandoned game. England are 7/2 (Sportingbet) to beat the West Indies and the rain to win the series 3-0.
