England 5/4 To Regain Ashes

England are 5/4 to regain the Ashes in 2015 but they still have to face the Australians in a 5-match ODI series starting on Sunday.

It was a desperate Ashes for England supporters as the tourists were whitewashed 5-0, a scoreline that was 100/1 at the start of the series.

There was financial compensation with Mitchell Johnson landing our top wicket taker bet at 13/2, but it was the only bright spot in a painful series for England fans.

On Sunday the two teams reconvene for the start of a five match ODI series, with Australia the 2/5 (William Hill) favourites and England 9/4 (Skybet).

Looking further ahead, England and Australia are joint favourites at 5/4 (Skybet) to win the 2015 Ashes Series but that is a long time to wait for a modest return.

With Andy Flower and Alastair Cook’s positions both under scrutiny it is perhaps best to wait until the ECB decide which direction to take the team.
