England Storm To Victory
Alastair Cook’s team got off to the perfect start, winning the first ODI by 110 runs.
England are 4/11 to win the five match series against Sri Lanka after a comprehensive victory at the Oval. Amid thundery skies, it was Craig Kieswetter who lit up proceedings with a quickfire 61. The recalled wicketkeeper is 3/1 to be England’s top run scorer during the series.
In reply, the tourists never looked like chasing down a daunting target of 230. At 15/4 the match was effectively over after James Anderson ripped through the Sri Lankan top order. England are now 7/1 to continue their dominance and complete a 5-0 series whitewash.
