England Drift to 5/2 for Third Test

Strauss: Centuries in both the first two Tests.

The weather forecast is pretty grim and England may not be fully focused with the series win in the bag.

Having been heavily odds-on just a couple of days ago, England are now out at a best price 5/2 (Bet365) to win the third and final Test against the West Indies.

Rather than a sudden loss in faith in the top ranked side in world cricket, this has been a reaction to the increasingly gloomy weather forecast for the Birmingham area over the coming days. The match, scheduled to start on Thursday at Edgbaston, is now just a 2/5 (WilliamHill) shot to end as a draw.

But if the rain stays away more than expected, the tourists may start to look like a bargain at 16/1 (Bluesquare). With England 2-0 up, this is essentially a dead rubber with the home side resting James Anderson with one eye already on the upcoming South Africa series.

England captain Andrew Strauss is 4/1 (StanJames) to top score for the hosts in the third Test having struck centuries at Lord’s and Trent Bridge.
