England Demolish Sri Lanka

An unbeaten 95 from skipper Alistair Cook helped England cruise to a 10 wicket win.

In seamer friendly conditions, England put in one of their best ODI performances to beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets. Winning a good toss, England soon reduced the tourists to 20-4, with James Anderson continuing his good run at Trent Bridge.

All out for 174, it left Sri Lanka with a barely defendable total. England then dominated with the bat as they had done with the ball. With both openers recording half centuries, the hosts reached the target without any loss of wickets.

The deciding ODI is at Old Trafford on Saturday and England are 8/11 favourites to win with Sri Lanka 11/8. Captain Alastair Cook is 7/2 to continue his rich vain of form and top score for England. The tourists will be hoping for more benign conditions, with Kumar Sangakkara 7/2 to be top scorer for his team.
