Cook Looking For Winning Recipe

Captain Cook

England head to Trent Bridge for the 4th ODI knowing a win for Sri Lanka and the series is lost.

England travel to Trent Bridge knowing they must avoid defeat to keep the series alive. They are slight favourites to do so, with a home win 4/5 with Coral. If they are to be victorious, they will have to leave behind the ponderous cricket of their last two games.

Lord’s centurion Alastair Cook is favourite to be England’s top run scorer at 7/2, with his opening partner Craig Kieswetter a 5/1 chance. Mahela Jayawardene is 10/3 to top score for the tourists, with the exciting Dinesh Chandimal a 9/2 chance - although it is unlikely his teammates will be so accommodating this time.

With light rain forecast for the evening, the toss could be a crucial one to win. If it goes England’s way, don’t be surprised if one of their strike bowlers makes good use of the conditions. James Anderson is 14/1 to be man of the match, a potent force if the ball starts to swing.
