Murray's Odds Shorten Again

Djokovic reaches the Australian Open final after defeating Roger Federer in straight sets.

Andy Murray is now a best priced 13/8 cut from 2/1 to win the Australian Open after defending champion Roger Federer lost in the semi final.

Novak Djokovic recorded a straight sets 6-7 (3-7) 5-7 4-6 victory over the World Number 2 to reach his second final in Melbourne. The straight sets scoreline doesn’t do justice to an enthralling match where the momentum changed numerous times.

Djokovic now 8/11 to win the Australian Open was delighted with his form saying in his post-match interview, “Roger puts you under a lot of pressure. It’s one of the best matches I’ve played in a while. I had to take my chances. In the second set I was a break up but in 20 minutes I was 5-2 down. If I lost that set god knows where it would have gone.”

Andy Murray takes on David Ferrer in the second semi final tomorrow morning at 8.30am, with the match live on the BBC.
