ATP World Tour Finals: Latest Odds

Murray is on great form

Andy Murray is gearing up to end 2011 on a high. Despite not breaking his Grand Slam duck, it has been the Scot's best season to date.

The climax of the tennis year is upon us with the top eight players on the planet battling out the World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in London. Andy Murray begins his campaign on Monday against world number five David Ferrer. The Scot is 1/6 (Ladbrokes) to get off to a victorious start, coming in as he does off the back of 27 wins in his last 29 matches. He holds a 5-3 head-to-head advantage over Ferrer who is 5/1 (Skybet) to cause an upset.

Murray - 10/3 to win the prestigious event with Boylesports - has also been drawn in the same pool as 2011’s main man Novak Djokovic, who is 4/1 (StanJames) to emerge as champion. The world number one is just third favourite with the bookies after abdominal and shoulder injuries have restricted the Serbian to just seven matches since his US Open triumph on 13 September. However, the 24-year-old claims he is “100% ready” for the London showdown.

Roger Federer has been made 7/4 (Boylesports) favourite for the World Tour Finals and he already has points on the board. The 16-time Grand Slam winner defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-2 2-6 6-4 in a tough opening encounter at the O2. The defending champion is looking to claim a record sixth season-ending crown.

The other member of the ‘big four,’ Rafa Nadal, survived an even greater scare in his first match on Sunday against Mardy Fish. The tussle lasted nearly three hours before the American was edged out 6-2 3-6 7-6 (7-3). The Spanish favourite is now 6/1 (PaddyPower) to go all the way.
