Six Nations Betting Tip: England to win handsomely

England have beaten Scotland by an average of 22 points in the last four years at Twickenham. Should be more of the same on Sunday.

When I first considered this game, I was of the opinion that the Scots always have a happy knack of derailing the English when they are going well. Perhaps they just raise the game against the Auld Enemy.

I was half right. They do raise their game but only at Murrayfield. At home Scotland haven’t lost to England since 2004 and more recently they have beaten South Africa and Australia.

Unfortunately their form away from home leaves a lot to be desired. They have lost their last four Six Nations games at Twickenham by margins of 14, 22, 21 and 31 points.

The bookmakers have the handicap spread set at 16 points, a mark England would have passed in three of the last four years. As I’ve said previously, England are playing their best rugby in this tournament and chasing a Grand Slam, there should be no let up.

At evens with Bet365, England are well placed to win by more than 16 points.
