Grand Slam Beckons

England's win over defending champions France means they are just two games away from a Grand Slam title.

England’s gritty 17-9 win over defending champions France has made them overwhelming favourites to win their first Six Nations triumph since 2003. They are nothing longer than 1/8 for the tournament and 8/13 with totesport to complete the Grand Slam. They would become the fourth different nation to achieve that feat in the space of four years.

Ireland kept their own Triple Crown hopes ticking over with an 18-21 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield. If they can win in Wales on March 12th then the stage will be set for an interesting climax when England travel to the New Lansdowne Road in the final round of matches. Ireland are available at 5/1 with Betfred to win the Triple Crown and deny England that and the Grand Slam, if they themselves overcome Scotland.
