Recent history dictates that England should comfortably overcome a five point handicap.
It is hard to look good beating Italy but two weeks ago England managed it. The world might be inherited by the meek but that is not how you win rugby games. With verve, dash and imagination England have lit up this tournament. It seems barely believable.
In Chris Ashton, England has a natural try scorer probably not seen since Rory Underwood. He has the knack of being in the right place at the right time and with six tries already he is literally flying.
France come into this game unbeaten but only thanks to the generosity of the Irish. France were woeful at the Aviva stadium and their wild celebrations at the end of the game was because they knew they had got away with one.
