Next England Team Manager Betting

Martin Johnson has resigned after England's disappointing Rugby World Cup. Jim Mallinder is 3/1 favourite (Skybet) to replace him.

After a World Cup campaign blighted by antics off the field, Martin Johnson has resigned as England manager. His team struggled to the quarter-finals in New Zealand before losing to France.

The bookmakers have already priced up his potential replacements with Northampton coach Jim Mallinder the 3/1 (Skybet) favourite. Graham Henry is next best in the betting at 6/1 (Coral), but having just led his New Zealand team to World Cup glory it is questionable whether he would want to take on another challenge. Nick Mallet is also 6/1 (Paddy Power) and is available after leaving his Italy post.

Sportingbet go 100/1 on a remarkable return for Sir Clive Woodward, a bold price considering Bet365 are as short as 16/1. With the RFU in a tumultuous period this market could run for several weeks yet.
