York Tips: Caledonia Lady
Used to give away too much ground at the start of her races but broke smartly at Sandown last weekend.
Having tipped Caledonia Lady twice this season I was slightly annoyed when she finally won last week at Sandown. Perhaps the weight of my money had been slowing her down!
Thankfully, the bookmakers have given me a second chance in the 3.35 York, odds of 15/2 (Paddy Power) being far higher than the should be.
The key to her victory last weekend was that she finally broke on terms. A slow start cost her at Royal Ascot, and over the minimum trip, you can’t give your rivals a head start. The other thing she needs in her races is pace. That should be no problem looking at the line-up, with four front-runners in the field.
It looks like Caledonia Lady is developing into the smart sprinter I always predicted. At 15/2 (Paddy Power) I’m not missing out again.
*Best Odds Guaranteed – Paddy Power
