Sandown Tips: Elusivity
First-time blinkers should sharpen him up. Has the best draw and ideal ground.
A big field on a narrow track means there will be plenty of hard-luck stories in the 2.05 Sandown.
Elusivity has the perfect draw in stall 1 but there is a danger he could end up behind a wall of horses if sluggish out of the gates. Thankfully, connections have reached for the blinkers and they could work the oracle. He is a horse who can race lazily and the headgear should sharpen him up.
On his best form he has an excellent chance. He was a close third behind Mayson at Newmarket early in the season and that form was franked last weekend, when the runner-up Definightly won a Group 3 at the Curragh.
The good to soft ground and stiff finish at Sandown are also ideal, as Elusivity does all his best work at the end of his races. The one time he encountered firm ground this season he looked a bit outpaced.
If the blinkers do the trick and he gets a reasonable passage through the race then Elusivity can win at 8/1 (Bet365).
