Sandown Tips: Doctor Parkes
Split stakes to take full advantage of the draw bias.
To take full advantage of the draw bias I recommend having a second bet in the 2.20 Sandown.
Doctor Parkes is drawn next door to Joe Packet in stall two and should also benefit from racing close to the rail.
Doctor Parkes is at his best racing over 5f on fast ground both of which he has this afternoon. Two starts back he showed bright early pace at Newmarket and was still leading a strong handicap field with one furlong to go.
He faded in the last 200 yards and was beaten by 1.25 lengths but it was an impressive performance over 6f, a trip that stretches his stamina.
If he shows the same bright early pace, he could capitalise on his good draw.
