Sandown Tips: Ajjaadd
Won the race last year and has been performing well in a higher grade.
Ajjaadd won the 2.15 Sandown last year and at 14/1 (Bet365) he looks overpriced for a repeat win.
I’m surprised his odds are so big because he hasn’t done much wrong. You can ignore his first run of the season as he broke a blood vessel and since then he’s been beaten by no more than 3 lengths in better quality races.
If you examine his two runs at Ascot you could call him unlucky. On his last start, he was badly squeezed for room when looking a big danger in the final furlong. The race before he got caught in a pocket with no room to manoeuvre.
Stall 12 doesn’t look a particularly good draw but his style of racing means he is best stuck out wide so he can avoid any potential traffic problems. Plus he won from stall 12 last year!
Dropping back to a class 3 contest, he should find the competition a bit easier than of late, making him cracking value at 14/1 (Bet365).
