Sandown Tip: Sharpened Edge

Won an identical race nine days ago. Nothing has changed since.

It is Groundhog Day in the 4.05 at Sandown. As previously discussed low draws dominate at Sandown with the lowest four stalls holding a big advantage over the rest of the field. Nine days ago Sharpened Edge was able to make the most of stall three and win. That success was in a 0-85 race, today in a slightly easier 0-80 contest she is drawn in stall 2.

After her win, trainer Chris Mason was quoted as saying the horse prefers some cut in the ground. After the heavy downpours of recent days, the sprint track at Sandown is riding soft. Everything is set up for a repeat performance.
