Sandown Tip: Doc Hay
A revelation for his rookie trainer. Has won three of his last four and is going the right way.
Doc Hay has been transformed by the move to Keith Dalgleish. Since the switch he has won three of his four races and it would have been all four but for interference in running at Carlisle.
Lightly raced, the horse is on a dramatic upwards curve. All his wins have been achieved in quick times. The finishing burst he uses to win his races suggests he can go even faster if needed.
Up against a second favourite who hasn’t raced in 239 days, Doc Hay looks like the one to beat in the 2.20 at Sandown.
