Newcastle Tip: Ballinargh Girl
Ran a quick time at Haydock two runs ago; all the evidence confirms that was a strong race. This therefore represents a step down in class.
Having placed in her last two runs I’m surprised to see Ballinargh Girl as big as 12/1 (Bet365) for the 4.00 at Newcastle. Two runs ago at Haydock she finished second behind Fabreze in a quick time. Since that race, two horses have come out and placed in a higher class, with one winning, backing up the assertion that it was a strong race for the grade.
With the stalls in the middle of the track expect the majority of the field to come up the centre. A draw in gate 8 is ideal, as the jockey can go to either flank if the field splits. The softened ground should also pose no problem, as she seemed to handle it well enough last time out at Hamiliton.
