Newcastle Races Tip: Nadeen

Has been crying out for a step up in trip and gets his wish at Newcastle.

With the stalls placed in the middle of the track it will be interesting to see where the runners head in the 8.35 at Newcastle. Making all up the stand’s rail is normally the preferred option but with several front runners drawn low they could race up the middle.

A horse who has been crying out for a truly run six furlongs is Nadeen. A winner at Musselburgh over five, he was fortunate that the pace collapsed that day. When he tackled the same distance at the end of April he seemed slightly outpaced, his finishing burst not coming in time.

A step up to six furlongs is a logical step and it is a distance he has placed in before. Last time out at Ripon he struggled from a poor draw and was forced to make his challenge wider than ideal. He wasn’t stopping at the finish and the stiff six furlongs looks tailor-made for him.
