Cue Card 4/1 Favourite for Ryanair

Cue Card made virtually all on Saturday to win the Ascot Chase by sixth lengths, although victory still looked in doubt until Captain Chris clattered the second last fence. He now heads to Cheltenham as the 4/1 (Betfred) favourite for the Ryanair Chase and will be difficult to beat given his excellent record at the track.

Having finished second in last year’s Arkle, the Queen Mother Chase over 2-miles is also an option for Cue Card (14/1 Paddy Power), although the prospect of taking on Sprinter Sacre might not appeal to connections.

Captain Chris is being directed to the Gold Cup, where he is 25/1 (BetVictor) in the betting but you get the impression the Ascot Chase was his opportunity to land a big prize.
