Wells Fargo Tips: Si Woo Kim

Wells Fargo Tips: Si Woo Kim

Talented young player who ranks 11th in total driving. Winner on Web.com Tour last season and has carried his form onto the main tour.

Web.com Tour graduates have enjoyed plenty of success this season. Smylie Kaufmann and Emiliano Grillo are both winners on tour whilst Patton Kizzie and Jamie Lovemark have gone close on several occasions.

The betting market has woken up to these talents but they are still overlooking Si Woo Kim. Aged 20, he is the youngest of the group but is a quick leaner and sits 44th in the FedEx Cup.

We shouldn’t be surprised at his progress. He became the youngest player to graduate from Q-School, when he earned a PGA Tour card at 17years and 5months of age, unfortunately tour rules prevented him from becoming a member until he turned 18.

Last season he finished tenth on the Web.com Tour regular season money list and he’s taken the step-up in grade with ease. The young Korean has eight top-25s in 18 starts this season and his form coming into the Wells Fargo reads T63-T13-T14-MC-T64.

A terrific driver of the ball (11th in total driving), Quail Hollow should suit him and at 250/1 (Betfair Sportsbook), he is underestimated by the market.
