Walking Over Hot Coles
SSP Chowrasia hangs on to win the Avantha Masters whilst the putter goes cold for our 300/1 tip.
India’s SSP Chowrasia won on home soil as his final round of 67 was enough to win by one shot from Englishman Robert Coles.
It was a case of what might have been for Coles. After missing makeable birdie chances on the 15th and 17th he then three putted on the final green to gift Chowrasia the title.
Our 300/1 golf tip Darren Beck finished tied for 16th, on seven under, missing out on the each way places. It was a case of what might have been for Beck who struggled with the putter all weekend. A total of 122 putts over four rounds were too many but he is still a player to look out for at minor Asian Tour events.
