USPGA Championship Tips: Charl Schwartzel

Seemingly in contention at every major nowadays and only a matter of time before he wins again.

Charl Schwartzel has become one of the most consistent players in the world and a permanent feature on leaderboards during majors.

Since 2010, Schwartzel has 9 top-20 finishes in 15 major championships, including victory in the 2011 Masters. It has been a similar story on the PGA Tour this season, where he’s racked up 10 top-25 finish from just 14 starts.

A fantastic iron-player, the 28-year-old should be suited by Oak Hill and he has the potential to go low, as his third round 64 at Firestone proved.

The world number 14 keeps knocking on the door and it is probably only a matter of time before he adds to his Masters title with a second major. At 45/1 (Boylesports) he is a solid each-way bet with ¼ odds for at top-6 finish.
