John Deere Classic Trends

The PGA Tour keeps to it's usual schedule with the Open on the horizon and the low-scoring John Deere Classic has some strong trends.

TPC Deere Run hosts the John Deere Classic, amongst the easiest courses on tour. The winning score at TPC Deere Run has never been worse than 16-under. It is a track where the golfers need to go deep into the red.

Top-60 in proximity to the hole
Fairways and greens are easy to find on TPC Deere Run therefore to get up the leaderboard you need to attack pins. Seven of the last 10 winners ranked inside the top-60 on tour for proximity to the hole with their approach shots.

Top-60 in scrambling
Going deep into the red is a prerequisite therefore cheap shots cannot be lost around the green. Seven of the last 10 winners were excellent scramblers, Ryan Moore ranked 61st in 2016.

Top-60 in all-around ranking
TPC Deere Run isn’t a difficult course but it still tests all facets of your game. Seven of the last 10 winners ranked inside the top-60 for this metric. Dylan Frittelli ranked 67th in 2019.

Top-60 for adjusted scoring average
The cream rises to the top; seven of the last 10 winners have all ranked inside the top-60 for adjusted scoring average. Dylan Frittelli ranked 61st in 2019.

Players that fit all four trends:
