Tiger 6/4 for 15th Major

Woods looks back to his best.

Only 3 players are under par at the US Open. Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald are among the big names who missed the cut.

Tiger Woods’ four year wait for a major title may be over by Sunday with the 36-year-old tied for the lead at the half-way stage of the US Open; he is the red-hot favourite at best odds of 6/4 with Boylesports.

Only three players are below par as the Olympic Club in San Francisco continues to provide a monstrous challenge. David Toms (10/1 WilliamHill) and Jim Furyk (5/1 Betfred) are keeping Tiger company at one under par as the Americans dominate the leaderboard.

Michael Thompson slipped back to +1 after his opening round 66 was followed by a 75; it was enough to see him drift out to 80/1 (Skybet). He is tied with Graeme McDowell who is 16/1 with StanJames. The Northern Irishman will fancy his chances, just two shots off the pace with the experience of having won the event in 2010.
