The Barclays Golf Tips: Jason Day

Brilliant On His Day

Due a win this season and has an excellent record at the Barclays.

With eight top ten finishes this year and runner up in the first two majors of the season Jason Day has been excellent. Whilst that first major still eludes him, at the age of 23 time is on his side. It is therefore strange to seem the Australian at 25/1 with the bookmakers considering the season he has had.

The Barclays changes venue most years and although Plainfield CC is a new test for most of these golfers, Jason Day does well wherever the tournament is held. In the last three years he has finished: T31-T12-T5, a steady improvement that mirrors the progress of his overall game.

Further good news is a T9 at the AT&T National last year. Played on the Donald Ross designed Aronimink Golf Club, he should have no problems handling Plainfield CC.

Without a win this year, including several close shaves in the majors, you can be sure that Day will be trying his best to win the Tour Championship and finish the season on a high.
