Shenzhen International Tips: Joost Luiten
Runner-up last week, his fifth top-20 finish in his last six starts. Hasn’t played Genzon GC but has a good record at the China Open.
Joost Luiten has hit a rich vein of form and is narrowing in on his fifth tour win. In his last six starts he has finished T13-T8-T15-6-T75-2.
Although Luiten hasn’t played Genzon GC before, his record in China is good and the form is usually transferable. He has finished 14-15-18-8 in four starts at the China Open and has top-30 finishes at the HSBC Champions and BMW Masters.
Currently second on tour for scoring average, he deserves his position near the top of the market and his excellent tee-to-green game is ideal for the test he faces this week. With Bubba Watson taking out a large chunk of the market, Luiten should be shorter than 16/1 (Betfred).
